CREATIVE MEDIA ASSISTANT

POSITION SUMMARY

The Creative Media Assistant will aid in the production of in-house creative video and graphic content as well as assist the Creative Media Director in various Audio/Visual tasks from week to week.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates a commitment to growing in Christ.

  • Agreement with the statements of faith, vision and values of Bethany Community Church.

  • A passion for storytelling, design, and video.

  • Experience in video production, graphic design, or photography.

  • Experience and demonstrable skills in leading volunteers.

  • A current vulnerable sector police background check.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Creative Media Assistant will be directly accountable to the Pastor of Creative Arts.

MAIN DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working in conjunction with and under the supervision of the Pastor of Creative Arts, this position is for 36 hours per week and will include:

  • Assisting in the production of week-to-week video content for weekend services

  • Project-based video editing and production support

  • Planning and creative brainstorming on projects and series

  • Graphic design for internal and external use

  • Digital asset collection and research

  • Coaching a team of volunteers in assigned tasks

  • Leading volunteers in the values and goals of the Creative Arts Department

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, database updating, equipment maintenance, etc.

TERMS

36 hours per week, duration of 16 weeks* starting May 6th, 2024. Paid hourly wage.

*this position is based off government funding, duration in weeks may vary
