Bethany's times of worship provide us with an opportunity to come together as a community to focus on and respond to who God is and what He has done in our lives. This experience changes us for the better as we gain a fresh perspective and motivation to honour God in our everyday lives and be a positive influence in our world.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

When are the Weekend Worship Services? During the ministry year (Sep-Jun), we offer three services - Saturday, 6:45 pm and Sunday, 9:30 & 11:10 am. During the summer months (Jul/Aug), we switch to two services - Saturday, 6:45 pm and Sunday, 10 am. Each service is the same and approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in length.

To find out what's happening during the services this coming weekend, click

What Can I Expect in a Weekend Worship Service?
  • An open and comfortable seat in our theatre-style auditorium! One of our friendly ushers will be happy to help you find a seat and provide you with a bulletin that will let you know all that is happening at Bethany in the coming week (large-print bulletins are available at the Welcome Centre).
  • Contemporary music with relevant lyrics that are up at the front on the big screen. Singing is one way we worship God and we invite you to join in as you feel comfortable (if you don't know the songs - don't worry, we didn't know them at first either!) You will be invited to stand at different points throughout the service, but if you need to sit, please do so.
  • A message by a pastor which helps you understand the Bible and how it applies to your life. If you are hard of hearing, bring a small headset and tune in to 90.5 FM.
  • A variety of forms of multimedia and the arts – video, drama, readings, dance, etc. to help point you to God.
  • An offering to be taken. Sharing with our church financially is another way Bethany attenders worship God and thank Him for how he has blessed us. If you are a visitor, please do not feel obligated to give – the worship service is our gift to you.
  • If something in the service has touched you and God is tugging at you to get real with Him OR maybe you just have a need in your life that you would like to talk to God about, feel free to visit the Prayer Room (just outside the door to the right of the stage) - one of our prayer ministry volunteers would be more than happy to pray with you, if you wish.
  • We would love to meet you after the service. Join us in the cafe for coffee, tea or juice (and bagels on Saturday evenings!).
  • Trained Emergency Response Team personnel are on duty at every worship service.

What Should I Wear?
We don't have a dress code! Whether you’re wearing jeans or a suit, we welcome you to worship God with us!

Directions? Click here for a map and directions to Bethany.

Where Should I Park?
As you drive into our parking lot, just follow the signs and the directions of our dedicated parking attendants who help to make the Bethany parking lot safe and efficient. Spaces are clearly marked in the paved area for those who have a handicapped designation, or are first-time visitors. There are also a few temporary nursery drop-off spots for parents with young children. We simply ask that you return to park your car in the lot after your child has been signed in to allow other parents to do the same. If you have any special needs or concerns regarding parking, drop off or pick up please feel free to speak with one of our friendly parking attendants – they will even provide you with door-to-door service, if needed!

What is Available for My Children and Youth on a Sunday Morning?
  • For infants and toddlers (0-24 months), Noah’s Ark Nursery provides year-round, safe supervision by trained, screened volunteers during both Sunday morning services. If this is your first time using the nursery facility, please fill out a visitors’ form when you arrive. If for any reason, our volunteers need to contact you during the service, your child's number will flash on the screens beside the stage. For more info on the nursery, click here.
  • A top-notch, relevant program we call Bethany KidZone for children age 2 to grade 6 at 9:30 am (Sep-Jun). If this is your child's first time attending, please visit the visitors’ desk with your child to sign in. For more info, click here.
  • During Jul/Aug, Summer Preschool Church is offered on Sundays, concurrent with the 10 am service, for children ages 2/3 and 4/5. Please sign in by 9:45 am.
  • Jr. Youth Class for grade 7/8, meet in Room 216 at 11:10 am (Sep-Jun) for a great time of learning and interaction with long-time leaders, Mr. & Mrs. Jehan. Sr. Youth Class for grade 9-12, join us in the Fireside Room at 11:10 am (Sep-Jun) for inspiring and relevant discussions with various leaders. For more info, click here.

How Can I Get More Information About Bethany? Visit our Welcome Centre (centre of foyer) to talk with someone or pick up some pamphlets. Please also pick up a Visitor Packet which contains much of the information you need to know. Every three months, we host an A Glance at Bethany (AGAB) lunch, especially for those who are new to Bethany. Bring your family and enjoy a delicious, FREE lunch with Pastor Larry and hear about Bethany - our heartbeat, philosophy and the ministries we offer.  To find out when the next lunch is taking place and how you can sign up, click here.

Is Bethany Church Accessible? Yes! Right from the parking lot to the auditorium, you will find it easy to get around in the building. Spots for wheelchairs are available at the front and the back on the main level of the auditorium. There are also two wheelchair accessible bathrooms on the main floor. An elevator is available, if needed, to get to the second floor. Please ask a Host, Usher or Greeter (wearing a lanyard) if you’re in need of any assistance.
